On Dec 17th, 2011, typhoon Sendong(Washi) dropped over 180mm of rain in less than 24 hours and caused severe flash flooding to the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.  The cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City were hit the worse and the area has suffered severe damage and human loss.  1010 people have been claimed dead, dozens more are missing, and over 100,000 filipinos have been displaced after the flood waters destroyed everything in it's path during the late hours of the night.  The city's power & water supplies were shut down for nearly 24 hours and many filipinos need your help.
